UAE Embassy Requirements

What the UAE Embassy Requires for Personal Attestation

In addition to your apostilled document, the UAE Embassy requires a completed application form. We handle all of this on your behalf.

ℹ️
We Prepare the Application Form on Your Behalf
Once you submit your order, we guide you through completing the UAE Embassy personal attestation application form. You do not need to visit or contact the UAE Embassy yourself — we manage the full submission on your behalf.
👤 What We Need from You (Personal Attestation)
  • Your original document (or GRO-issued certificate for birth/marriage/death)
  • Completed UAE Embassy personal attestation application form (we provide and guide you)
Before You Submit

What You Need to Know

Common issues that cause delays — we check for all of these before submitting.

⚠️
Original Official Documents Are Required — Photocopies Are Rejected
The FCDO can only apostille original documents bearing the issuing authority’s signature. For birth, marriage, and death certificates this means a GRO-issued certificate — not a hospital notification, photocopy, or laminated copy. If you’ve lost your original, we can order a replacement from the GRO at £60 — no account needed, 72hr processing.
🔄 Both Stages Are Required
For employment visas, residency, marriage, and most legal purposes in the UAE, both the FCDO apostille and the UAE Embassy attestation are mandatory. An apostille alone is not accepted. We co-ordinate both stages end-to-end so you don’t need to manage them separately.
📋 Personal vs Commercial — Make Sure You’re on the Right Page
This page covers personal documents (birth, marriage, degree, police check). The UAE Embassy charges a personal document fee — our total Stage 2 fee is £120. If you need a power of attorney, company document, or contract attested, that falls under the commercial category. See UAE Commercial Attestation →
🕐 Plan Your Timeline
Standard end-to-end service takes approximately 2 weeks. If you have a fixed deadline — a visa appointment, a UAE wedding date — contact us early so we can plan the fastest route. Same-day FCDO options are available.
🌍 Arabic Translation May Be Required
Some UAE authorities require a certified Arabic translation alongside the attested document. We confirm whether a translation is needed for your specific purpose and can arrange certified Arabic translations as part of our combined service.
